4iQ + Alto = Constella Intelligence, a new global leader in Digital Risk Protection
Alberto Gómez, Partner, Adara Ventures
4iQ, the leader in identity intelligence, and Alto Analytics, a leader in applying AI & data science to the digital public sphere, today announced the two companies have merged and rebranded as Constella Intelligence (“Constella”), effective immediately.
Constella launches shortly after 4iQ raised $35m in a Series C financing and will see Kailash Ambwani become CEO and Alejandro Romero (founder and CEO of Alto), take up the role of COO. Julio Casal, 4iQ founder, will become CTO of Constella.
Having first backed the business in their seed round in 2013, we’re delighted to continue partnering with the Constella team as they embark on this new, exciting chapter in their growth story.

Welcome Kailash Ambwani, new Constella CEO
We’d like to take the opportunity to welcome Kailash Ambwani as Chief Executive Officer of Constella. With Ambwani at the helm, Constella will ramp investments in go-to-market activities and accelerate innovation to help customers better anticipate and respond to emerging digital risks.
Ambwani brings a proven track record of scaling businesses with more than 20 years of leadership experience, most recently as CEO of Waterline Data, a global leader in data cataloging solutions and applications. Prior to that, Ambwani was President and CEO of Actiance, a leading provider of compliance, security, archiving and eDiscovery for all critical business communications.
“Constella combines 4iQ’s investigation platforms and proprietary data lake, which archives more than 45 billion identity records, with Alto’s vast trove of public sphere data, advanced proprietary technology, and best-in-class analytics to enable organizations to anticipate and mitigate risks to their business, their people, and their reputations.” said Ambwani. “We look forward to empowering those on the cyber frontlines with better anticipation of emerging threats, proactive analysis and adversary identification — so they can act before any harm is inflicted.”
